Where Are They Now: Brittany Lastrapes

Who is she? Ms. Brittany Lastrapes, a four-time All-American and former outfielder for the Arizona Wildcats and Team USA.

What is she known for? During Brittany’s time in Arizona, she became one of the best and most well-known players in the country. She was a four-time All-Pac 12 first teamer, and a four-time All-American. Regarded as one of the best all-around hitters to play the game, she ended her playing career with an astounding .417 batting average, 51 home runs, and 199 RBI. She was also a member of the US National Team from 2007 through 2010.

You might not know... that during the 2010 WCWS, when Arizona went to the championship final where they ultimately lost against UCLA, Brittany was suffering from mononucleosis and had been for several weeks, but she still hit .481 in Oklahoma City that season.

What’s she up to now? Brittany is presently in her first year as an assistant coach at Miami University, in Ohio. After graduation, she worked as a paralegal for a year before taking the position on HC Clarisa Crowell’s staff in September of 2012.
