Where Are They Now: Emily Turner

Who is she? Emily Susano Turner, a former All-American pitcher for the LSU Tigers and a 4th-round pick by the Philadelphia Force in the 2007 National Pro Fastpitch draft.

What is she known for? Emily was and is one of the most decorated pitchers to play in the SEC. She posted a career ERA of 1.52, and was a three-team National Player of the Week. She was a member of the NFCA All-American third team in 2006. She was also a member of the 2007 USA Softball National Player of the Year Watch List and was named to the 2004 SEC All-Freshman team. She also earned Academic Honor Roll honors twice.

You might not know... that Emily was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and hails from San Diego, California. She's also a huge Chargers fan.

What's she up to now? Emily is presently the morning news anchor for NBC33 in Baton Rouge. She's worked for the station since 2007, and get her start in the news business as a sports reporter before moving to the position she currently holds.
