Michigan State Assistant Coach Killed in Car Accident

From the Lansing State Journal:

         "WEBBERVILLE — The man killed in a rollover crash Wednesday on Interstate 96 was a Michigan State University assistant softball coach, the university confirmed today.

Charleston Fobbs, 47, of Canton, was killed in 
the 6:25 p.m. crash on eastbound I-96 near M-52 and Webberville, Michigan State Police said. Authorities said his Chevrolet HHR left the road and rolled multiple times after he swerved to avoid slowing traffic, police said. He died at the scene.

MSU spokesman John Lewandowski confirmed Fobbs’ employment and said the university would release more information today.

State police have asked anyone who saw the crash to call the Lansing post at 322-1907."
