Carson-Newman head coach Vickie Kazzie-Hollifield earned her 1,000th win with a doubleheader sweep of Limestone. She is the 22nd NCAA coach & 6th Division II coach to reach the milestone victory.
The first NPF trade of 2014 is in the books: The Chicago Bandits traded utility infielder Nerissa Myers to the Akron Racers in exchange for catcher Kaylyn Castillo. Myers looks to be the Racers' starting shortstop, while Castillo could log time at multiple positions for the Bandits.
The thirty finalists for the Senior CLASS Award were announced. Arizona State and South Florida both landed two players on the list, while twenty-six other teams were represented. You can view the full list of nominess for the award here.

Our first Rewind Wednesday was a success! Former UAB pitcher Lauren Webster was the first to guess the correct answer; it was in fact Tulsa's Aimee Creger!
USC-Upstate's senior pitcher Anna Miller made history this weekend, throwing no-hitters in consecutive starts! The first came against Gardner-Webb, when she hurled seven innings of no-hit ball, with only one walk and fourteen strikeouts. The second was a six-inning, run-rule victory over Liberty, when she recorded twelve strikeouts and no walks.
