Hannah Rogers Nominated for ESPY Award

Recently-graduated Florida legend Hannah Rogers was announced today as a candidate for an ESPY award.

Rogers, who completed an already-stellar career with a Women's College World Series championship to finish the 2014 season, is a candidate for Best Female College Athlete.

Rogers is the only softball player & solo representative of the SEC nominated for the award; other candidates include Morgan Brian (Soccer; Virginia); Taylor Cummings (Lacrosse; Maryland); Micha Hancock (Volleyball; Penn State); and Breanna Stewart (Basketball; UConn).

The ESPYs, as defined on Wikipedia (which we all know is an uber-reliable source), is "an accolade presented by... ESPN to recognize individual and team athletic achievement and other sports-related performance during the calendar year preceding a given annual ceremony."

The 2014 ESPY Awards will be aired live on ESPN on July 16th at 9 pm ET/8 CT. Voting for the awards, including for Rogers' category, can be done here.
