Rick Bertagnolli Resigns as Rebellion Manager; Replacement Named

News broke this past week of the sudden and surprising resignation of the now-former manager of the Pennsylvania  Rebellion, Rick Bertagnolli.
Stacey Rice

Bertagnolli was named manager of the Rebellion in January, just a few months after the newest NPF franchise was announced. He had been a fixture for the team in the time leading up to the season, a name that became quickly associated with the Rebellion in many circles, yet he lasted just twelve games into the season before tendering his resignation.

According to a report, Bertagnolli's resignation was due to "personal reasons" and was emailed to team owner Stu Williams.

Stacey Rice, formerly Bertagnolli's assistant coach, has been named the Rebellion manager.

Bertagnolli has been the head coach at the California University of Pennsylvania for the past  twenty years. Rice coaches at Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, PA.
