Central Washington Looking for Graduate Assistant Coach

I was asked to put up this notice, and I can honestly say this is a first-of-it's-kind for this site. It's not in the usual scope of our articles but I was specifically asked to post it and I agreed.

Mallory Holtman-Fletcher's CWU Wildcats are looking for a
graduate assistant coach.
The Central Washington Wildcats (D2) are looking for a new graduate assistant coach, per head coach Mallory Holtman-Fletcher. The person they had picked out for the position took an opportunity for a full-time assistant coach position at a different school.

Per Holtman-Fletcher, the position is open to anyone with "general softball knowledge". No position-specific specialization is required. From Holtman-Fletcher, "someone interested in pursuing a Master's degree in Athletic Administration would be ideal."

The Wildcats compete in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC). The school is looking to fill the position ASAP, as school begins in just a matter of weeks.

Holtman-Fletcher's rise to her present position as head coach was an almost meteoric one, and she notes that it began in this same position, as a graduate assistant at her alma mater. Following five seasons in uniform, she spent two campaigns as a GA before being named the head softball coach.

Those interested in the position can contact Holtman-Fletcher by email here, or send us a message on the Justin's World Facebook page to get a phone number you can call.

** On a side note, if Holtman-Fletcher's name or face is familiar to you, there's a good reason why. Even non-softball fans are likely to recall this story that occurred more than six years ago. Holtman-Fletcher was one of the players who carried an injured opponent around the bases after she injured herself running the bases following her first-ever home run. Even so many years later, this video gives me chills to watch. You will NOT find a better story in sports. **
