Where Are They Now: Mariah Gearhart

Who is she? Mariah Gearhart, a former star third baseman and infielder for the Oklahoma State Cowgirls.

No longer Mariah the softballer, now she's Mariah the flag football star
What is she known for? Mariah holds the NCAA record for career hit-by-pitches, with ninety-two in her career. A two-time all-conference selection, she also has two all-region nods to her credit. She ranks in the top three in four team categories, holding second place all-time in runs scored and stolen bases, and third in on-base and slugging percentage.

Here's something interesting... Mariah is considered a national champion flag football player and is one of the top rushers in the nation at that level... her sister also plays college volleyball for the University of North Carolina.

What's she up to now? Mariah works as a content associate for ESPNU in Charlotte, North Carolina. Currently, she is working on the production crew for the ESPNU 3:30 Saturday football game. Her specific area of work is preparing all of the footage from previous games that is used in pregame coverage and during the game itself. She also is in charge of the "melts", or all-angles footage from the game in-action. She'll be working during basketball season; provided content for last year's wrestling championships; and has worked on softball games every season since she began work at ESPN.

Quotable quotes: (more on her job) "My weekly summary is getting requests from the producer of a game and we create and provide what they request (compile footage, create packages and elements) in editing every week through the season.

Contact information: You can find Mariah on Facebook and Twitter. No Instagram at this point, though she says peer pressure may get her on that site soon!
