Led by Team USA legendary player & Cal State Northridge head coach Tairia Flowers, the squad will compete in World Cup X at the end of June & beginning of July, as well as the Junior Women's World Championship in Oklahoma City from August 9-15.
Of the seventeen athletes on the team, six are in their senior year of high school. Eleven Division 1 universities are represented. The Cal Bears placed two current members of their team on the Jr. WNT squad, though it's their in-state rival UCLA Bruins that really impressed, as one of their active players and three 2016 commits were all named to the team.
In addition to Flowers, the team is assistant-coached by Trisha Ford (HC, Fresno State); Kristie Fox (HC, UT-Arlington); & Tim Walton (HC, Florida).
