Watts, Thom, Senas, Others Join the NPF

Houston alum Bailey Watts; former Texas shortstop Taylor Thom; and Florida State grad Courtney Senas are among the newest class of rookies that have joined the NPF. Alabama grad and former UTSA player Molly Fichtner; Texas Tech alum Mikey Kenney; and Georgia Southern legendary hurler Sarah Purvis are also among the group.

Watts, also an occasional Justin's World contributor, ended her career after her redshirt junior season in 2013. During her three seasons playing for the Cougars, Watts, a member of the conference all-freshman team in 2010, led her team in ERA three times.

Thom earned Big 12 Player of the Year honors in 2014, her senior season. A former All-American, she his thirty-eight home runs as a Longhorn and remains throughout the school's record book.

Senas ranks 2nd all-time in Florida State history with thirty-six home runs and third in Seminole history with 158 RBIs. A defensively-solid outfielder with a .954 career fielding percentage, she may best be remembered for the walk-off home run in the 2014 Super Regionals that sent FSU to the Women's College World Series.

Fichtner began her career at UTSA, transferring to Alabama for the final two seasons of her career. She became the Tide's starting catcher, earning second-team all-conference honors in 2014. Though a career .328 hitter during her time with the Crimson Tide, Fichtner's defense and leadership of the Tide pitching staff shined brightest of all.

Kenney, a 2013 graduate from the Red Raider program, earned all-conference honors three times, including a first-team nod in 2012. She owns forty-five collegiate home runs as well as a .326 career batting average. Having committed just ten errors in the outfield in nearly 230 opportunities, she also brings a defensively-solid glove.

Purvis is a Georgia Southern pitching legend. A three-time Southern Conference Pitcher of the Year, as well as a three-time all-conference first-team member and three-time NFCA all-region player, she owns sixty-two career victories and 770 career strikeouts. A 1.85 career ERA and an opponents' batting average of .181 are particularly impressive statistics, in addition.

Watts, Thom, Fichtner, Kenney, and Purvis will all join the Dallas Charge for the team's inaugural season. Senas has joined the Pennsylvania Rebellion on a two-year contract.
