Three Stanford seniors leave team

With just ten games left in their final season, Stanford seniors Hanna Winter, Cassandra Roulund, and Leah White have left the Cardinal program. The soon-to-graduate trio apparently left the team on Monday.

Winter, a former all-region selection and three-time all-conference player, is the biggest piece lost by the Cardinal, as she has started and played in all but two games this season and was the team's second-leading hitter and top base stealer.

Roulund and White had 387 career starts between them; White was a three-time all-region and all-conference selection, while Roulund collected all-freshman honors in 2012 and an all-PAC12 honorable mention nomination in her sophomore campaign.

Cardinal head coach Rachel Hanson said, "It was a little surprising... with just a few weeks left in the season, you don't expect that. But they left for personal reasons and we wish them all the very best."

Stanford is mired in the first season of a rebuilding campaign, with a record of 16-29 now in Hanson's first year on the job.
