Where Are They Now: Paige Tonz

Who is she? Paige Tonz, a former catcher for the Northwestern Wildcats.

What is she known for? Tonz started every game at catcher in her final three seasons, becoming a defensively-excellent backstop and leader. She made just thirteen errors in four seasons, to go along with nearly 1,200 putouts. She was twice named Academic all-Big Ten and was an NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete in her junior season.

Here's something interesting... Besides being extremely adept at softball, Paige is a ceramics artist, creating all kinds of projects such as bowls, vases, pitchers, mugs, platters, etc. Paige used this talent to create items for the Northwestern Softball Annual Purple Auction during her time on the squad. You'll see more below about Paige's artistry. Also, as was once featured here, Paige bears a striking resemblance to FOX Sports 1 personality Katie Nolan.

Quotable quote: "I started playing recreational softball at the age of 7. The funny part is that I was so bored in the infield and outfield because no one was really hitting the ball out there, so I decided I would be the catcher in order to touch the ball every single time!"

What's she up to now? Paige recently began a new career as a real estate investor. In business with her mom, the duo are taking classes to quickly become one of the best in the industry. Real estate investing includes wholesaling homes; flipping; rehab projects; and buying rental homes. In addition to that, Paige is in business with her father selling homemade furniture and her pottery projects in an Etsy shop online. She gives private lessons and is looking to return to coaching at her alma mater high school next season.
