Monmouth Pitcher Injured in Car Accident

In pre-Christmas news that has only just now made its way across the Justin's World wire, Monmouth pitcher Ally Stoltzmann was struck by a vehicle while jogging earlier this month and suffered several serious injuries.

According to a GoFundMe account set up to help the Stoltzmann family financially, some of Ally's injuries included a fractured skull; traumatic brain injuries; internal bleeding on her brain; and others.

The original GoFund Me message includes a note about Ally being in a medically-induced coma, but a recent update appears to indicate that she has defied expectations and is conscious.

Ally, a Gilbert, Arizona native, had transferred to Monmouth prior to this season after beginning her career with two years at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix.

The GoFundMe website also notes Ally's 3.98 GPA; physician's assistant studies; and quadruple-digit volunteer hours. You can find the GoFundMe here.
