Did You Know: Megan Blank

Megan Blank & Megan Blank (Iowa's Blank is on the left)
The name Megan Blank is known in softball circles thanks to the former Iowa Hawkeye and current Chicago Bandits infielder. Playing for the Hawkeyes from 2012-2015, Blank started every game of her career in Iowa, a perfect 213-213, putting her name atop a quintet of school records including a career batting average of .410. She clubbed twenty-seven home runs over her four years, slugged .686, and four all-region honors and a similar quartet of first-team Big Ten nominations. She was undrafted to the NPF, but was signed as a free agent by the Bandits and put up a .258/3/14 slash
line. She recently signed a contract to
return to the Bandits in 2016.

Did you know that there is another Megan Blank in the softball world? An assistant coach at George Mason and a former athlete at the school, the Patriots' Blank ranks in the top ten of two GM all-time program records and was an all-conference selection in her junior season of 2012.
