Portland State Hires Meadow McWhorter as Head Coach

Portland State has hired Meadow McWhorter to fill the program's head coaching vacancy.

McWhorter is a collegiate coaching veteran of the region after serving as head coach at Mount Hood Community College for the last fourteen seasons.

The Vikings and their new head coach have a history, as she has sent a half-dozen players onto the program from Mt. Hood.

MHCC is McWhorter's only  career coaching stop, a spot where she put up a 468-146 record and never recorded a sub-.500 record.

She takes over a program that amassed thirty-eight victories over the previous three seasons and finished sixth in the Big Sky standings.
