Where Are They Now: Kim Mazzapica

Who is she? Kimberly Mazzapica, a former pitcher for the Ball State Cardinals.

What is she known for? A four-time letterwinner for the Cardinals, Kim helped lead the program to three conference regular-season championships. She ended her career with three top-ten spots in the Cardinal statistical record books, including third all-time in saves.

Here's something interesting... Kim isn't the only Division I athlete in her family... her brother, Paul, also played ice hockey at Arizona State.

Quotable quote: “If I could pass along one piece of advice to the next generation, it would be “never stop learning and be coachable”. This is important because I feel like a lot of players are not being taught the game in detail at a young age and their softball IQ needs improvement at the next level.”

What's she up to now? After beginning her coaching career at her alma mater, Kim is now an assistant coach at Mercer of the Southern conference.
