Former Belmont head coach Chris Kuhlmeyer will join the Miami, Ohio coaching staff as an assistant, it was announced today.
Kuhlmeyer spent seven seasons at the helm of the Bruins, becoming the program's all-time winningest coach along the way. He amassed ninety-six victories during his tenure, including leading the program to their second-most wins in history in the 2016 season.
A veteran coach, Kuhlmeyer's resume also includes stops at Wichita State and Samford, as well as stints as a Volunteer Assistant at Baylor and LSU, his alma mater.
He joins a Redhawks club that posted a 35-23 record in 2016 and ended the season as Mid-American Conference tournament champions and with a bid to the NCAA tournament that ultimately included an upset victory over ranked Notre Dame.
