Who is she? Chelsea Cohen, a former pitcher for the Arkansas Razorbacks
What is she known for? Chelsea spent 2010-2013 as a member of the Hogs pitching staff, ending her career with her name in the top ten of four program statistical categories, including wins; innings pitched; strikeouts; and games started. She spent 2015 as a Volunteer Assistant Coach with the Nevada Wolfpack.
Here’s something interesting… In addition to softball, Chelsea also happens to be an accomplished calligraphist. Self-taught, Chelsea provides those services for weddings and other events.
Quotable quote: “Never underestimate the power of a dream. If you want to play college softball or travel the world or play in the NPF one day, you can! But you have to understand the work and sacrifice it takes to accomplish those goals. If you have a dream to do something, believe you can and work as hard as you are able until you get there. Remember to always have goals and when one is reached, you [should be] looking for the next one.”
What’s she up to now? After her collegiate career ended, Chelsea was still being bit by the playing bug. After a dual coaching/playing trip to Argentina, she played a season in Austria. Following a brief interlude during which she coached collegiately and found that she was still being bit by the playing bug, Chelsea then spent a season playing professionally in Australia and spent the 2016 season playing in Legnano, Italy, just outside of Milan.
