Dawgs, Bandits Swap Starters

Cervantes and Edwards made up 40% of the Bandits' starting infield in 2016, at first base and catcher, respectively. Each started all but five of the team's games; Edwards hit .327 with eleven home runs, the only Bandit who reached double-digits in that category. Cervantes rolled in fourth on the team with her .290 average and her nine home runs, second on the team behind Edwards, left the duo as the only two to hit more than five long balls on the year.

Former Missouri all-American Emily Crane played in forty-five of the Dawgs' fifty-one games and hit .224 on the year, with three home runs and ten RBI. She stole eleven bases in thirteen attempts. Former Florida star Taylore Fuller played in forty-five games, starting forty, and recorded a .202 batting average on the year. She hit five home runs, good enough for a tie for fourth on the team.
