Where Are They Now: Kayla Toney

Who is she? Kayla Toney, a former middle infielder for the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders.

What is she known for? After leading her team with a .414 batting average in her sophomore campaign, a season's performance that earned her first-team all-Sun Belt honors, Toney later ended her career #2 in the Blue Raiders' career record books with twenty home runs and #3 all-time in career doubles.

Here's something interesting... As a freshman in 2011, Toney's first career hit and first career home run came in consecutive days, both against the future ACC champion Florida State Seminoles.

Quotable quote: "Softball still has a huge hold on my heart that will probably never fade."

What's she up to now? After graduating from MTSU, Kayla now works as a police officer for the Lebanon (Tennessee) Police Department. “I love getting to help and serve people,” she says.
