Maddy Grimm Named JWOS Player of the Week

Kent State senior infielder Maddy Grimm has been named the JWOS Player of the Week.

Grimm hit .636 this week for the Golden Flashes, including four home runs, one of which came against Ohio's Savannah Jo Dorsey. Grimm finished the week with eight RBIs and a 1.727 slugging percentage in her team's five games, all against MAC foes.

The senior shortstop-third baseman hybrid posted a .789 on-base percentage, thanks in part to seven walks during the course of the week, six of them intentional. Grimm also scored six runs this week.

With the Player of the Week award, Grimm is the first player from the Mid-American Conference to take home the award, which also is the first of her career.

Previous JWOS Players of the Week:
4/4 - Emily Clark, Ohio State
3/27 - Morgan Zerkle, Marshall
3/20 - Jordan Seneca, Saint Francis
3/13 - Chloe Miller, Wisconsin
3/6 - Alex Mycek, East Carolina
2/27 - Mo Mercado, Arizona
