Amin's news comes amidst a time that has seen several of his colleagues at the self-titled 'Worldwide Leader in Sports' have seen their positions eliminated. For Amin, however, his star continues to rise in the opposite direction, and at a blistering speed.

Considered among the brightest rising stars in the play-by-play profession, at any level and in any sport, Amin has already gained numerous assignments across a variety of sports, including this year's NBA playoffs, College Football Friday nights, and the 2015 and 2016 Women's College World Series'.

Often historically teamed with the equally-affable Amanda Scarborough in the broadcast booth at the softball diamond, Amin is popular with softball fans thanks to his pleasant demeanor; precise recounting of game action; and the age-old quality that all want in a broadcaster, to make the fan feel like they're actually at the game.

The length of Amin's extension was not immediately known; he is currently in his seventh year with the company.
