Andrea Browning will be the next head coach at Tennessee State, the school announced.
Browning served as an assistant on the Tigers’ staff in 2017; assuming the helm of the Tigers program marks the first head coaching position of her career.
Prior to her single season as an assistant at TSU, Browning spent the 2016 season as a volunteer assistant at North Florida. Her coaching resume also includes stints as an assistant at Austin Peay and Belmont.
A Lambuth University alum, Browning also served as the head coach of the Sudden Impact organization, an organization that she also founded. She spent four seasons coaching at the high school level.
At Tennessee State, Browning is being promoted to lead a program that recorded a 12-37 win-loss record in 2017 and registered just thirty-three victories over the past three seasons.
