Dordel Joins Alabama as Volunteer Assistant

Former Iowa State assistant Brynne Dordel has been named the Volunteer Assistant Coach at Alabama for the upcoming season.

Dordel spent the 2017 season at Iowa State, her sole campaign with the Cyclones, and helped guide the program's pitching staff during Jamie Trachsel's first season as head coach.

Prior to ISU, Dordel spent three seasons at North Dakota State with Trachsel, who she followed to Ames. at NDSU, Dordel was part of three consecutive Summit League championship-winning squads and a trio of NCAA tournament berths.

Twice part of the NFCA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year while at NDSU, Dordel's coaching resume also includes a two-year stint at Ball State, where she was a part of back-to-back Mid-American conference championship-winning Cardinals squads.

A former Drake pitcher, Dordel was a 2011 graduate from the Bulldogs program and earned Missouri Valley conference tournament MVP honors in 2008.
