Churchill had been head coach at Wagner College for two seasons, winning forty-two games across those years and leading her team to the Northeast Conference tournament championship game and finishing the season one win away from the NCAA tournament in 2017.

In addition to her time at Wagner, Churchill’s resume also includes stints as a head coach at Georgian Court University (D2) and D’Youville College (D3), as well as time as an assistant coach at Buffalo and Ohio.

The Hartford Hawks finished 4-45 during the 2017 season and ended the year with a winless record in America East conference play. The Hawks have collected a win-loss record of 13-133 over the past three seasons.
