Former Bucknell head coach Courtnay Foster has been named assistant coach at Spring Hill College.
Foster follows her husband Joe Guthrie, who was named head coach at Spring Hill earlier this summer. Foster resigned from Bucknell in July after two seasons at the helm of the Bison program.
During her pair of seasons with the Bison, Foster led the club to a 50-43 win-loss record and a Patriot League tournament appearance in 2016.
In addition to her tenure at Bucknell, Foster spent five years at Northwestern, her alma mater, where she served as the Wildcats’ pitching coach.
As a player, Foster was an all-American and a three-time all-Big 10 conference selection in the circle for the Wildcats. She ended her collegiate playing career with eighty career wins, a 1.49 ERA, and more than 1,000 career strikeouts.
After college, Foster was drafted by the Philadelphia Force of the National Pro Fastpitch league and played internationally in Italy.
